Ravens Extend Derrick Henry Through 2027 with $30 Million Deal
Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta and head coach John Harbaugh had both voiced their intention to extend Derrick Henry’s contract during the offseason.
With the draft now behind them, the team managed to reach an agreement with the star running back.
According to multiple sources, Henry has signed a two-year extension with Baltimore, keeping him with the team through the 2027 season. His previous deal was set to expire after 2025.
Initial reports suggest the new contract is worth $30 million over two years, including $25 million guaranteed.
At 31, Henry was a dominant presence for the Ravens in 2024, playing a key role in securing their second straight AFC North title. He racked up 1,921 rushing yards and led the league with 16 touchdowns. He also added 19 receptions for 193 yards and two more scores.
His rushing total marked the second-best season of his career, trailing only his 2020 campaign when he ran for 2,027 yards and was named AP Offensive Player of the Year.
Teaming up with quarterback Lamar Jackson, Henry is set to remain a major offensive threat in the coming seasons. He currently leads all active NFL players in both rushing yards (11,423) and rushing touchdowns (106).
